Jay Vijayan was born, Jayaprakash Vijayan.

He is an Indian-American business executive.



Jay Vijayan from 2012 to 2016, worked at Tesla Motors as Chief Information Officer. In 2016, he founded Tekion Corp, an American company selling software to the automotive retail industry.

Jay was born in a Tamil family in Chennai, India to K. Vijayan and V. Umadevi. 

His father is a local politician and leader of the Indian National Congress party in Tamil Nadu.

He later earned his Bachelor of Science and Master in Science in Geology subject from the University of Madras in Chennai, India.

He was an executive chairman of Mastercard, having previously served as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the company from July 2010 until December 31, 2020.

Ajit Gupta, founder and CEO of Speedera Networks, Aryaka Networks



Ajit Gupta was a Silicon-Valley based entrepreneur and the founder of Aryaka, AAyuja, JantaKhoj, and Speedera Networks.

He holds 21 technology patents for Internet content delivery and global traffic management. 

Ajit Gupta graduated from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in Electrical Engineering Batch of 1984.

Dinesh Paliwal, chairman and CEO of Harman International : 




Dinesh C. Paliwal (born December 17, 1957) is an Indian American business executive.

Dinesh C. Paliwal was the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Harman International, a provider of audio and infotainment systems for the automotive, consumer, and professional markets, from 2007 to 2020. 

Paliwal currently serves on Harman's board of directors. Paliwal was born on December 17, 1957 in Agra, India as one of seven children in a family of modest means.

Paliwal married Ila Sharma after attending University of Roorkee.

Amar Gopal Bose (November 2, 1929 – July 12, 2013) was an American entrepreneur and academic.

An electrical engineer and sound engineer, he was a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for over 45 years. 

He was also the founder and chairman of Bose Corporation.

Amar Gopal Bose was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to a Bengali Hindu father, Noni Gopal Bose and an American mother, Charlotte Mechlin (1895-1973).

Abbas Sadriwala, chairman and CEO of the Fort Lauderdale-based Wireless Logix Group



Abbas Sadriwalla (born 1948 in Bombay, now Mumbai, India).

He is chairman and CEO of the Fort Lauderdale-based Wireless Logix Group of seven companies, which offer Wi-Fi technologies.

Sadriwalla is himself of Mewari origin. His father comes from the village of Bari Sadri in the Mewar region of Rajasthan (hence the name Sadriwalla).

Born to an Indian Air Force officer, Arora completed his schooling from The Air Force School (Subroto Park), and went on to graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, BHU in Varanasi, India, with a Bachelor of Technology degree in electrical engineering in 1989.

He holds a degree from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University. He has held the CFA designation since 1999.

Anil Kumar (born 1958) is an Indian-American former senior partner and director at management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. 

He co-founded McKinsey's offices in Silicon Valley and India and created its Internet practice (representing a quarter of McKinsey's business at the time) among others.

Anil Kumar is additionally the co-founder of the Indian School of Business with Rajat Gupta and the creator of two different kinds of outsourcing.

Arun Sarin (born 21 October 1954) is an Indian-American telecommunications executive.

Sarin was the former CEO of the telecom giant Vodafone, serving from 2003 until 2008. He drove the integration of Vodafone, Airtouch and Mannesman.

He was also the driving force behind the Vodafone's strategic move into emerging markets, especially Asia and Africa, through the purchases of Turkish operator Telsim and a controlling stake in Hutchison Essar in India.

Sarin was born in Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh, India, in 1954. He pursued his secondary education at the Bangalore Military School.

Later, he joined the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and graduated with a B.Tech. degree in metallurgical engineering in 1975.

In 1978, he gained a MS in engineering and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Arvind Krishna is an Indian-American business executive serving as the Chairman and CEO of IBM.

Arvind Krishna has been the CEO of IBM since April 2020 and took on the role of Chairman in January 2021.

Anshuman Jain is a cousin of Ajit Jain, who since 2018 has been vice chairman of insurance operations for Berkshire Hathaway.

He is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Illumina and a member of the Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company.

He was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to Elpinki, an Ethiopian/Greek mother, and Domingos, an Indian father. He was the second of five children.

His mother was a homemaker and his father was a commercial representative for Japanese trading company Itochu. 

Before he was 5, his family moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Gururaj Deshpande, founder of Sycamore Networks



Gururaj Deshpande ("Desh" Deshpande) is an Indian American venture capitalist and entrepreneur.

He is best known for co-founding the Chelmsford, MA-based internet equipment manufacturer Sycamore Networks, the Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation at MIT and the Deshpande Foundation.

Gururaj Deshpande was born in Hubli, Karnataka in India. His father was a labor commissioner with the Indian government.

Indra Nooyi  was born as Indra Krishnamurthy; born October 28, 1955).

She is an Indian-American business executive and former chairperson and chief executive officer (CEO) of PepsiCo. In 2017, her final year at PepsiCo, her pay was $31 million.

She serves on the boards of Amazon and the International Cricket Council. Philips has proposed that Nooyi join their board in May 2021.

Nooyi was born in Madras (now known as Chennai), Tamil Nadu, India. Nooyi did her schooling in Holy Angels Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in T. Nagar.

Nooyi received bachelor's degrees in physics, chemistry and mathematics from Madras Christian College of the University of Madras in 1974.

She also did a Post Graduate Programme Diploma from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta in 1976.

In 1978, Nooyi was admitted to Yale School of Management and moved to United States of America (USA) where she earned a Master's degree in Public and Private Management in 1980.

Asim Ghosh (born December 7, 1947) is the former President and CEO of Husky Energy, one of Canada's largest integrated energy companies.
